Gabrielle Union tells BET needs to stop being cheap and may the actress for her money.
That’s according to THR.
According to the site, BET is upping the episodes of Being Mary Jane to squeeze more out of Gabrielle Union’s contract, according to a lawsuit filed Tuesday in L.A. County Superior Court.
Union claims the network agreed it would never produce more than 13 episodes per season, but now is trying to tape two 10-episode seasons back-to-back to “cram all of the episodes into a single season in order to fraudulently extend the term of Ms. Union’s contract.”
In similar news, Gabrielle Union does an interview with Essence.
Mrs. Wade has been having a blast sharing moments from her married life as a wife and stepmother on social media over the last year, but she admits that raising Black teen boys is a challenge in today’s troubling climate. “Until they walk through the door, I’m terrified,” she tells ESSENCE. “Sometimes I just want to stay off my timeline because it makes those waits until they walk through the door a thousand times worse. Just envisioning them as a hashtag.”
