On Tuesday, Kim filed a federal lawsuit against MediaTakeOut.com for 3 posts about her ordeal … one of which alleged there was evidence Kim “staged” the robbery. In the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Kim says the site used random people off social media as its sources. The site also posted a story about “French authorities” suspecting Kim had actually “let the robbers in” the apartment.
The owner of MTO speaks out to CNN Money about the lawsuit.
“Our number one goal is to produce the most accurate information as quickly as possible and we did that,” Mwangaguhunga said. “But now, looking back at it, you have a chance often times to look back and reflect on what it is that happened. It’s now clear that she was robbed. It’s clear that the reporting that we did hurt her, and we certainly don’t want that to be what we do.”
The three MediaTakeOut stories that are cited in Kardashian West’s lawsuit suggested French authorities suspected the reality star and her mother, Kris Jenner, of committing a crime by faking the robbery. Mwangaguhunga said the outlet based that reporting on information from reputable sources.
Those articles have since been taken off the site…

We can understand how reports questioning if the robbery in fact took place can be hurtful, and so we apologize.
No one deserves to go through such a traumatic experience. Kim is not just celebrity, she is a person, a wife and a mother – who in no way deserved what happened to her.
We wish her the best as she emotionally recovers from the traumatic incident.
