A few days ago it was reported three people was arrested in shootout that killed Tyson Gay’s daughter.
Dvonta Middlebrooks fired multiple shots during the incident, Lexington police investigators said Sunday. He was charged with wanton endangerment and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. A father and son were also charged Sunday. Chazerae Taylor, 38, and his 19-year-old son D’Markeo both face wanton endangerment counts, police said in an online statement.
Police spokeswoman Brenna Angel said police don’t believe Trinity Gay was in either of the vehicles involved.
Now there is a fourth person.
Today, 20-year-old Lamonte Williams was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting. He is charged with wanton endangerment.
Police said today that all four men “fired multiple gunshots at the time of the incident.”
Middlebrooks, Chazerae Taylor and D’markeo Taylor all pleaded not guilty this week. Williams has not yet entered a plea. He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday at 1 p.m.
Police said today the investigation is still active and “in the early stages.” Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the police.
