Nick Cannon does an interview with Extra TV to promote his new project.

When asked if he has spoken to her since the news of her breakup with Packer, Cannon said, “Yea. It’s all love. You know how that is. I think the media comes up with all this speculation and stuff, but everybody is keeping it moving… that’s what it’s all about.”

Cannon was on hand to promote his new project, “Why Real Is Rare,” which explores modern love and “why people value relationships and diamonds and the correlation between the two of them.”

For the project, Cannon, who describes himself as a “hopeless romantic,” was able to sit down with six couples. He said, “I was trying to get in and understand why they’re together, why they feel like this is the real thing. Everyone has a different story and love is different for everybody.”

In similar news, Mariah begged Nick a divorce to marry James Packer.

One source added, “Nick and Mariah’s divorce was dragging on and on, mainly because of the back and forth between their lawyers. Mariah’s team brought in [famed LA divorce attorney] Laura Wasser, who helped simplify things, but then Mariah called Nick and said, ‘I really want to get married. Will you sign these papers?’ Nick was cool and said, ‘I’m not going to stand in your way. I’ll sign the papers.’ He signed in September, because Mariah and James wanted to get married in early 2017.” But things suddenly soured between Packer and Carey, and they split shortly after her divorce with Cannon was finalized.
