A few days ago, Shirley Caesar talked about Kim Burrell’s controversy with this statement.
“You (Kim Burrell) should’ve said something 4 years ago when our President made that stuff alright” – Shirley Caesar
Of course Ms. Shirley was labeled anti gay on social media. Shirley Caesar denies the accusations on social media with this statement.
“I know who I am. I would never say anything to harm anybody,” Caesar said during an interview with Bishop George Bloomer of North Carolina. “There’s no way I’m going to say something ugly about anybody. I don’t have time to. I’m in the fourth quarter of my life, and I’m doing everything I can to be the best humanitarian and best person that I can be.” “What I was saying was, why now? Why break up your life now to be bothered with something like that,” she said of Burrell. “That was then, this is now. Let’s go forward now with our lives. To every community…let’s go on with our lives. Time is too short.”
Caesar added: “The Bible says that ‘By this the shall all men know we’re his disciples, if you love one another.’ [Jesus] did not say whether they were a part of the LGBT or the NAACP. He just says love me.”

The situation with me and my son, I’m going to put it all behind us and just let it move forward,” he said. “Wayne is one of the best artists ever to do the game, and I want to see him continue to do what he been doing, and I’m going to support whatever he’s doing.”
Lil Wayne calls Birdman a dirty liar!
Our Weezy sources tell us the rapper thinks Birdman needs to stop crowing about the now-mythical album, and start paying about it because there’s been zero movement in their legal/financial war.
We’re told Wayne heard Birdman saying he’s putting the beef behind him, but believes the Cash Money honcho’s just trying to “look like the nice guy.” Weezy’s yet to hear a peep about settling his his $51 million lawsuit, and until he does … nothing changes. As we first reported, Wayne’s holding the master recording.

T.I. told The New York Times, which published his first letter with a recorded reading, that his intent with the letters is “to communicate and share my thoughts and try to be a voice for the people who may be thinking of something to say but, for some reason, may not be able to say it or not have the platform to say it. Using my platform to be a voice for those who can’t speak for themselves.”
In the letter to Obama, T.I. reflects on Obama’s presidency, saying he is “filled with gratitude, outrage, grief, anger, humility and appreciation, both for the things you helped bring to light and the many things we still have yet to realize.”
He credits the president for fighting to keep our country from “the very thing we have now become,” while the U.S. continuously “failed” him because we were not ready for the change he wanted to bring.
“But rest assured that we heard you. Rest assured that we felt you and rest assured that your legacy will live on long after your presidency,” writes T.I. “Not only did you impact a nation, but you defined a culture and you shook up and woke up a generation.”

On January 4th, ET has learned that the “Emotions” singer is no longer working with her longtime creative director and tour choreographer/dancer, Anthony Burrell.
“He’s not being brought back [in 2017] for a number of reasons,” a source close to Carey told ET on Tuesday. The source claims that part of the reason for Burrell’s departure is due to a placement decision he allegedly made without the approval of Carey or her management team.
Here’s an update on that…
Anthony Burrell tells Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans that while he has left his longtime job with Mimi, his exit isn’t related to her botched performance.
