Betty Shelby found not guilty of first-degree manslaughter in fatal shooting of unarmed Terence Crutcher.

Another one got a way with murder.

Back in September 2016, Tulsa, Oklahoma, police officer Betty Shelby has been charged with felony manslaughter in the first degree, Tulsa County District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler told reporters Thursday.

Shelby fatally shot 40-year-old Terence Crutcher after his SUV stopped in a roadway.

Officials and people connected to the case responded to the jury’s decision.

The defense had moved for a mistrial in the case, but a judge denied it. The judge also denied the jury’s request to explain how they came to their conclusion

The jury delivered their verdict after nearly 10 hours of deliberation starting just after noon Wednesday.
