Get Em! Judge Approves Kandi Burruss Defamation Lawsuit Against Ex Employee Over RHOA Appearance.

Back in October, Kandi Burruss is accused of screwing over her employee by refusing to pay him minimum wage or overtime — despite him loyally working for the reality star for years and even putting together her wedding. Now, he has sued her demanding the court order her to pay him the money he is owed.

Kandi responds ..

TJB reports, On November 28th, Kandi went to court blasting allegations that she violated labor laws and screwed over her alleged ex-employee.

A week ago….

  • Kandi brings up the Johnny and Phaedra situation and also mentions Phaedra was saying negative things on me with the city of Atlanta about my restaurant whatever.
  • Ryan asked Kandi has she ever consider suing Phaedra over defamation character at the 19:21 mark. Kandi responds, “I have thought about it have to talk to my attorneys and see like what do they and how do they feel how I should handle the situation.” Kandi says the damage is definitely done. They told me I should sue Porsha at first. And when it came out at the reunion Porsha got the information from Phaedra. I was like let me just hold up until you guys get to see this whole thing and I will get their opinion on how they think I should handle it.
  • Kandi says the only thing is…. lawsuits are stressful. I’m already dealing with that stuff with Johnny so that’s the only thing……….

Now…

On May 16th, a judge in the case came back with his decision and sided with Kandi, allowing her to file a counter-lawsuit against her former employee Johnnie Winston III. The order explains Kandi is seeking to sue over,

..Statements that Plaintiff made on two episodes of Real Housewives of Atlanta, which aired on January 8, 2017 and March 27, 2017, about Defendants stealing his ideas for a restaurant and a play.
