Last night both Drake and Tory Lanez on the gram. They were trending on social media.
Back story on their feud…
Back in 2016, Tory Lanez proclaims that he is gunning for Drake’s spot in an interview with Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning.
The “Say It” singer reveals that although there is some tension between the two artists, it’s not personal. Tory admits that he is a fan of Drizzy’s music.
“That doesn’t mean that I’m not here to take that crown,” the New Toronto rapper says. “What do you think this is? What do you think, I’m here to be second place?”
“Hip Hop is a contact sport,” the 23-year-old musician continues. “I’m here to compete. I’m here to be No. 1. I’m here to be the greatest. Anybody that’s standing in the way, whether it’s him or anybody, it’s gotta go the way it’s gotta go. I’m not gonna stop until I get that.”
In July, Drake a diss Toronto rapper Tory Lanez and Tyga. While performing his opening song “Summer Sixteen,” Drizzy changed the beginning lyrics of the second verse of the track to “All you boys doing fake Controllas want to be me a little.”
