Earlier this year, Walmart’s insurance company is reportedly fighting the settlement the retail giant agreed to pay Tracy Morgan as a result of a 2014 crash on the New Jersey Turnpike that seriously injured the comedian and killed another man.
Back in September 2015, Tracy Morgan received a $90 million payout from Wal-Mart after he was seriously injured in a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike. Tracy Morgan must hand over six years of tax returns and other highly personal information in an ongoing dispute over his megabucks crash settlement with Walmart.
Page six reports, Tracy Morgan is refusing to testify under oath in an insurance dispute against Walmart’s multimillion-dollar payout to the comedian over the 2014 truck accident that left him clinging to life and killed his comedian pal Jimmy Mack.
“Deposing Tracy Morgan will lead to nothing. We are opposing it,” his attorney, Benedict Morelli, told The Post.
Walmart’s insurer, Ohio Casualty, is demanding Morgan, 48, sit for a seven-hour deposition to prove its claims that he exaggerated his injuries to get the payout, reported to be about $90 million.
