Over a week ago, Menace, the producer behind Desiigner’s smash hit “Panda,” revealed in an interview with DJBooth that there might be legal trouble between the Brooklyn rapper and Future. The producer claimed that Future filed a copyright infringement claim against “Panda.”
“There was a situation with Future putting [an infringement] claim in because apparently, he said that ‘Panda’ sounded like ‘Fuck Up Some Commas,’” the producer told DJBooth. Menace said that the claim has stalled any compensation he should be seeing from the song that reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

On Tuesday night Menace tweeted out an apology to Future, Kanye, and Mike Dean in which he called his claims “unfounded” and suggested his “professional integrity” had been compromised by his actions.
“I want to formally apologize to Mike Dean, Kanye, Future and their respective teams for releasing unfounded and sensitive information to the media that could have potentially affected their professional integrity,” he wrote. “They have always been an immense source of inspiration for me and they will always be extremely influential to my work and my development as a producer.
