Yesterday, Michael Vick has some advice for Colin Kaepernick if he wants another shot in the NFL: Get a haircut.
During an appearance Monday on Fox Sports 1’s “Speak for Yourself,” Vick said the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback needs to lose his Afro or cornrows for a “clean-cut” style in order to get a job.
The former Falcons and Eagles quarterback said he was speaking from personal experience. Vick was suspended for two seasons beginning in 2007 after pleading guilty to charges in a dog fighting investigation.
Colin Kaepernick responds on social media by posting the definition of Stockholm Syndrome.
— Colin Kaepernick (@Kaepernick7) July 18, 2017
It states, “The Stockholm syndrome appears when an abused victim, develops a kind of respect and empathy towards their abuser, It is named after a bank robber in Stockholm when a group of employees were held hostage and developed a strong sense of empathy towards their captors. When this traumatic event was over, they even defend their captors by not wanting to say anything that might endanger their captors freedom. This usually happens because the victim sees the smallest act of decent behavior as an extracted event which makes them see their captors as essentially good. This way they leave aside all the negative behavioral distinctions of their captors and focus on the positive ones. This syndrome is also called “Traumatic bonding or victim brain washing.”
