Back in March former NFL star Michael Irvin is being investigated for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in a Florida hotel last week, police confirmed.
A 27-year-old Florida woman told police she and Irvin, 51, were at a bar in the early morning hours of March 21 and then returned to Irvin’s room at the W Fort Lauderdale.
Once inside the room, the woman said she began to feel sick and remembers fighting Irvin off before she woke up the next morning as the NFL Hall of Famer was getting ready to leave the hotel. The woman, who later took a medical exam, called 911 and told police she believed she was drugged and raped.
Here’s an update on the situation.
The Broward County (Fla.) State Attorney’s Office has officially closed its sexual assault investigation into former Cowboys receiver Michael Irvin and has elected not to pursue charges in the case because of “a lack of evidence,” a spokesman said Monday.
