A wrongful death lawsuit brought against Jim Carrey in regards to the 2015 suicide of his former girlfriend has been dismissed.
According to reports, Jim Carrey will no longer be facing a wrongful death lawsuit in connection with his ex-girlfriend’s suicide, according to reports.
“I can confirm that the case was dismissed,” Carrey’s attorney Ray Boucher told The Post in a statement without elaborating.
A rep for the actor — whose former gal pal Cathriona White died of a drug overdose in 2015 — said “he is extremely grateful to everyone in his life who supported him throughout this challenging episode.”
Carrey, 56, was sued for wrongful death in 2016 by White’s estranged husband, Mark Burton, and her mother, Brigid Sweetman, both of whom accused him of illegally obtaining prescription drugs for her.
