Best Buy to Stop Selling CDs And Target Is Also Threatening To Pull The Format

Best Buy is pulling the plug on CDs.

According to a new report from Billboard, CD sales were down 18.5 percent last year, with retailers like Best Buy and even Target looking to stop carrying the format in stores.

In a new announcement, Best Buy has told music suppliers that it plans to pull CDs from its shelves starting July 1. According to sources at Billboard, the company was only generating around $40 million annually in CD sales, a sharp decline from what was once a billion dollar offering for Best Buy. The company will continue to carry vinyl records for the next two years, following a commitment it made to suppliers.

Target is also rumored to discontinue its in-store CD sales……

On the Run Eatin’ with N.O.R.E. takes you on Noreaga’s unpredictable journey, as the food connoisseur tours unique dining locations across America. All eight episodes of the original series will be available for fans’ binging pleasure on Feb. 28.

Each episode will feature a plethora of celebrity friends, who will help the Drink Champs podcast host explore their food cravings. The show is executive produced by the tag team of N.O.R.E and brash radio personality, Charlamagne Tha God. Two decades after the album’s critically acclaimed release, hip-hop artist Nas teamed up with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., to stage a symphonic rendition of “Illmatic,” one of the most revered albums in hip-hop history.  Released in 1994, “Illmatic” is the seminal debut album from Nas, and has long been considered one of the greatest hip-hop records of all time…

This performance was recorded live in March 2014 as the centerpiece of the One Mic: Hip Hop Culture Worldwide festival at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., home of the National Symphony Orchestra.

Zendaya is moving on from Disney channel and after three years on K.C. Undercover.

Zendaya  announced the news on Friday, “Tonight is the last episode of KC, and therefore my last episode on Disney channel….”

“The end of an era. On to the next. Thank you for continuing to grow with me,” Zendaya also wrote later on Instagram and Twitter along with the follow-up tweet, “Relax…there’s still re-runs.”

Justin Timberlake Super Bowl LII Halftime Show to Feature Hologram of Prince

It was previously reported, Janet Jackson and NSYNC ARE NOT performing with Justin Timberlake this year at Super Bowl LII.

Justin Timberlake will include a hologram of the late legendary Prince.

According to TMZ, the halftime show will feature a hologram of Prince, in honor of his hometown of Minneapolis, where the Super Bowl is being held. Prince performed at the Super Bowl in 2007, where he played songs like “Let’s Go Crazy,” Purple Rain,” “All Along the Watchtower,” and “We Will Rock You” in the pouring rain of Dolphin Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Timberlake released his new album Man of the Woods on Friday.
