The 51-year-old singer, who now goes by the name Shuhada Davitt, shared in a series of tweets early Tuesday that, a few weeks after officially converting to Islam, she wants to avoid everyone who does not share her spiritual beliefs.

In the first message, she wrote, “I’m terribly sorry. What I’m about to say is something so racist I never thought my soul could ever feel it. But truly I never wanna spend time with white people again (if that’s what non-muslims are called). Not for one moment, for any reason. They are disgusting.”

Kenan Thompson on Pete Davidson’s Controversial Joke, ‘The Grinch’ movie and More On ‘The View’

Animated GIF

On ‘SNL’ during “Weekend Update,” Davidson described Crenshaw, a Republican, as “kind of cool.”

“You may be surprised to hear that he’s a congressional candidate from Texas and not a hitman in a porno movie,” he said. “I’m sorry. I know he lost his eye in war or whatever.”

Crenshaw, a former Navy SEAL who wears an eye patch having lost an eye to an IED blast in Afghanistan.

“I try hard not to offend; I try harder not to be offended,” Crenshaw tweeted about Davidson’s segment. He also said “SNL” should try to be more sensitive to veterans.

Kenan Thompson criticized colleague Pete Davidson on Monday, saying his joke about a wounded veteran “missed the mark.”

Thompson, the son of a Vietnam War vet, said Davidson should have shown better judgment and not gone after Texas congressional candidate Dan Crenshaw, who wears an eyepatch.

“It’s tough when you’re fishing for jokes, like that’s how stand-ups feel, that there’s no real filters out there in the world when you’re trying to go for a great joke,” Thompson told the “Today” show. “But at the same time, when you miss the mark, you’re offending people. So you have to … really be a little more aware.”

Thompson also stood up for Davidson, adding: “Pete’s a very … humble dude and he has a big heart. I don’t think he goes out to offend people.”

FLORIDA: You have the opportunity to make history this election. The US has only had four black Governors in its entire history, and we can help make #AndrewGillum the next one and Florida’s first! If you’re tired of feeling like you don’t matter in the political process, know the most important thing you can do in supporting a candidate is finding someone who will take on critical issues such as: making minimum wage a livable wage, paying teachers what their worth, ensuring criminal justice reform, making healthcare a right, and repealing Stand Your Ground. That’s a platform we MUST support. Let’s #bringithome, Florida. Vote @andrewgillum. And VOTE YES on Amendment 4 to restore voting rights to folks who have already paid their debt to society. VOTE on November 6th!

When we get these people who look like us elected make sure they know they owe US! Pay up and give our community something! ie: make it easier for black developers to get bounded to build these structures like stadiums and skyscrapers we give tax cuts for. This way they hire U!Move state funds in part to Local/Black banks with successful records like CTB. This way provided u qualified they give u car, Home and biz loans. 🍃 🍃🍃🍃🍃🍃🍃🍃🍃🍃🍃🍃Also Marijuana reform that not only legalizes but makes provisions Blacks to be a Significant part of the legal biz. This economically empowers U! 🚓 🚓🚓🚓🚓🚓🚓🚓🚓🚓🚓🚓🚓🚓🚓🚓🚓Next forgive non violent drug offenses and wipe their slate clean. This allows them into the work force and the biz they help build as the mules of the drug trade! I wud also add land lottery (u ain’t shit without land that u own and develop) and require cities schools use their funds infuse trade programs in our schools for our boys and girls. ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽These skills are more needed now than ever and hold more value that we acknowledge! They are other things i am sure and I wud love to see u comment on what u think they shud be. #GoVote #ThenGetOnTheyHeadAboutPayingUp #IdontWannaHereThatWhyRaceBS #IfiSayGayOrWomanOrSpecialNeedsOrSenoirs #UGetit #WellGodDammitGetItNowOrSTFUandActLikeUDo #TheBlackCommunityNeedaBetterNegotiators #WhatDoWeExpectFromTheseVictories #WhatAreWeDue #OweYeahEveryProvisionISuggestedHasBeenDone #ForOtherGroupsAtSomeTime

The ex-fiancé of “Growing Up Hip Hop” star Angela Simmons was killed in a shooting in Georgia Saturday.

Authorities responding to a call of shots fired at a southwest Atlanta home found a man with multiple gunshot wounds inside an open garage, the Atlanta Police Department said in a statement. The victim, whom police did not identify, had been talking in the driveway with another man when the two began arguing and the suspect shot the victim multiple times, police said.

From Page Six

…just four days before Tennyson was killed in a drive-by shooting that’s being investigated as a homicide, the ex-couple were in Manhattan Family Court on Oct. 30, a source told The Post.
“It wasn’t lovey dovey, there’s a reason people go to court,” the source said. Tennyson was paying around $1,250 a month in child support, but Simmons — the shoe designer daughter of Run D.M.C.’s Rev. Run — wanted more money, the source said.
She’d received temporary custody of Sutton Jr. in July after filing for an order of protection against Tennyson in December 2017, the source said. Simmons had made domestic violence claims against Tennyson in December when the couple split, the source said.
