E!’s mega-hit series, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” returns for its seventeenth season on Sunday, September 8 at 9pm ET/PT. In the aftermath of a devastating betrayal that left her and her family shaken, this season Khloé sets out on a quest for healing as she navigates unfamiliar co-parenting territory and faces some setbacks along the way.
.In true Kardashian/Jenner style, Kylie throws a lavish birthday celebration for Khloé that she won’t soon forget. Tensions rise as Scott receives some unsolicited parenting advice from Kris’s boyfriend Corey, resulting in a family divide. Just when it seems no one in the family can see eye-to-eye, Kris plans a bonding trip to Wyoming for a cattle drive to bring the family closer together. In a series first, Kim and Khloé break the fourth wall amid concerns that certain family members are not pulling their weight when it comes to sharing their lives for the cameras, threatening to take drastic action. In the face of adversity, the Kardashians set out to prove that headlines only tell part of the story and that this family can overcome any obstacles thrown their way.
According to a TMZ reports, Kanye West told Kardashian to reach out to her White House connections over Rocky’s widely condemned holding. This reaching out, the report suggested, was met with agreement that Rocky was being treated unfairly overseas and assistance was needed.
Earlier this week, Rep. Adriano Espaillat and Congressional Black Caucus members spoke on the involvement of U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, a figure in the current administration who they argue could be doing more for Rocky and the two other men currently locked up in Sweden.
“We are calling on Secretary Pompeo to do more,” Espaillat said, perABC News. “This is not enough. It is unconscionable that young men that are doing well, they are on the right track in life, they’re very successful, they’re icons in the hip-hop community, are treated under these inhuman conditions.”
It’s been a few days since the news first broke, and Khloe has been screening Tristan’s calls and generally trying to get into a headspace to cope with the drama. However, Kourtney thinks Khloe is taking all of it too lightly and being too careful about her choice of words and her behavior.
The sisters go out for a Palm Springs getaway to relax, but after some prodding and goading from Kourtney and Kimora Lee Simmons, Khloe decides to let her angry side out. First, they call their mom, Kris Jenner, to let her know they aren’t going to be playing it safe any more to protect the public face of the family.
“I just think, you guys, cannot let people take advantage of you like this. Like, Kim said, Khloe, that you were, like, trying to take the high road and you were saying, you know, ‘I’m too old for this,’ and this girl is young. But if you don’t protect your family, you don’t protect your child, your house, what goes on in your home, what kind of s— are you running? That’s your baby daddy, whether you’re with him or not, you cannot allow this kind of disrespect. Don’t start none, won’t be none.”
Taylor Swift is speaking out against Scooter Braun after finding out he acquired the record label that owns her musical catalog.
In a post published Sunday, the singer calls out Braun, who also manages singers like Ariana Grande and Carly Rae Jepsen, of “incessant manipulative bullying ” over the course of “years.” Swift accuses Braun of getting Justin Bieber and now-former client Kanye West to bully her online after Kim Kardashian released that “Famous” phone call audio to discredit her, as well as Taylor’s inclusion, via a nude mannequin, in Kanye’s “revenge porn music video” for the same song. “Now Scooter has stripped me of my life’s work, that I wasn’t given an opportunity to buy,” Swift writes. “Essentially, my musical legacy is about to lie in the hands of someone who tried to dismantle it.”
“Any time Scott Borchetta has heard the words ‘Scooter Braun’ escape my lips, it was when I was either crying or trying not to,” wrote the “You Need to Calm Down” singer. “He knew what he was doing; they both did. Controlling a woman who didn’t want to be associated with them. In perpetuity. That means forever.”
Bieber apologized for the 2016 photo, which he had captioned, “Taylor swift what up,” before chiding Swift for her Tumblr venting. “What were you trying to accomplish by posting that blog? Seems to me like it was to get sympathy. [U] also knew that in posting that your fans would go and bully [S]cooter,” he wrote. “I usually don’t rebuttal things like this but when you try and deface someone I love’s character, that’s crossing a line.”
Five months after Swift first said West never ran the lyric “I made that bitch famous” by her, Kardashian branded Swift a “snake” and posted videos on her Snapchat of a private phone call between Swift and West, claiming the singer had approved of his “Famous” lyrics.
In similar news, Scooter Braun’s wife old Swift to “get the facts straight.”
“Let’s start with [Swift], whoa. Then let’s get the facts straight,” Yael wrote. “You were given the opportunity to own your own masters, you passed. Interesting that the man you’re so ‘grossed out’ by believed in you more than you believe in yourself. Your dad is a shareholder and was notified and [Big Machine founder Scott Borchetta] personally told you before this came out. So no, you didn’t find out with the world.”
She continued, “And girl, who are you to talk about bullying? The world has watched you collect and drop friends like wilted flowers. My husband is anything but a bully, he’s spent his life standing up for people and causes he believes in. He believes in and supports you, I sincerely hope you can learn to love and believe in yourself the way my husband does.”
She concluded, “Lastly, if you think he can control his clients, please control your fans. Leave our personal life and kids out of this. You don’t understand yet what line that crosses, but one day you will. And I hope you have the dignity, class and kindness to leave your fans out of this and have an open discussion. Tumblr can’t fix this, a phone call can.”
Taylor Swift‘s rep is doubling down on claims regarding how the singer found out about Scooter Braun’s $300 million purchase of her music catalog.
A source close to the deal tells PEOPLE Swift, 29, was given a courtesy note on Saturday by Big Machine Label Group from founder Scott Borchetta. According to TMZ, Taylor’s father, Scott, is on the board of directors of Big Machine Label Group and “has known about the deal for at least a week.”
However, a spokesperson for the Grammy-winning artist refutes TMZ’s claim telling PEOPLE, “Scott Swift is not on the board of directors and has never been. On June 25, there was a shareholder phone call that Scott Swift did not participate in due to a very strict NDA that bound all shareholders and prohibited any discussion at all without risk of severe penalty.”
The spokesperson adds, “Her dad did not join that call because he did not want to be required to withhold any information from his own daughter. Taylor found out from the news articles when she woke up before seeing any text from Scott Borchetta and he did not call her in advance.
“It’s just, you know, things happen, and of course I’m sorry and apologetic as much as I can be,” the 21-year-old told Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday, June 26.
OnKUWTK, Khloe Kardashian criticized Woods’ response to the scandal. “Now she’s downplaying it,” Kardashian told her sisters of Woods. “I’m not saying things can’t happen. I’m the most understanding, calm person ever. But Jordyn… never once has Jordyn said, ‘I’m sorry.’
She also responded to a dig Kim Kardashian West made in the same episode, claiming that Woods was supporting her whole family with Kylie Jenner’s money.
“I definitely work very hard for a lot of the things that I have, and as you can see, I’m out here hustling, and I’ve always been working,” Woods shared. “I started modeling when I was 18, and you know, I work hard.”
On Wednesday, the model was focused on her new projects, like her collaboration with boohoo.
“Everyone loved the first collection, which was years ago, so why not come again?” she told ET of working with the retailer. “It’s a win-win for both of us.”
“It’s more of a going out collection, something with a lot of personality to where if you maybe aren’t feeling like going out, but then you have that bomb outfit, it’s going to inspire you,” Woods added. “And there’s a lot of different selection for all different types of girls and different body types.”
Woods’ collection seems representative of her fresh start. “It’s time to try something new, summer, stand out, and it brings out everyone’s skin tone, I believe, wearing color,” she shared. “My favorite color was black, but right now I’m really into the hot pink and emeralds.”
“It’s important to dream big because nothing is impossible and you have to understand that no matter where you come from, whether you start here or you start here, we all have the same amount of hours in the day,” she explained of her new motto to “dream big.” “If you want to make something happen, just go for it.”
Woods’ collection with boohoo launches globally on June 26.
